Stuart moved from Leith to North Berwick in 1991. He joined the local party and has held various positions within the local party and in the Regional organisation. He has also been a member of the stewards team at Scottish and Federal Conferences. He took a break from the local party for several years after 2014 and only came back in the run up to the Council elections in 2017 to assist with data management. He helped create this site in September 2018 and continues to manage it today. He's quite proud of the fact he hasn't received any brickbats on any of the site changes he's made, he suspects local party members don't look at the site that often which is why he gets away with it. He's also quite proud of removing himself from Facebook (Meta) in June 2021.
